Nurse’s services
SAR – Nurse
SAR nurses handle acute medical treatment in SAR helicopters and participate in annual training courses to maintain their acute medical credentials. The SAR nurse is a part of the SAR helicopter crew and helps maintain the same level of emergency response 24/7. In practice, this means being constantly prepared for emergency response in an SAR helicopter, ready to leave at a moment’s notice to visit oil rigs and stand-by vessels to assist with the acute medical treatment of ill and injured persons.
Platform nurse
Platform nurses are specially qualified through a bespoke training programme to handle the health-related emergency response apparatus on the company’s installation. Platform nurses work closely with the duty doctor on the treatment and health-related follow-up of patients. These nurses also perform other assignments in the field of HSE supervision, as well as a number of supplementary tasks.
Psychiatric nurse
Our psychiatric nurses live locally to all our locations in Norway: Stavanger, Bergen, Florø, Kristiansund, Brønnøysund, Hammerfest and Kirkenes. The primary task of our psychiatric nurses is to assist our clients in the event of major incidents or accidents that require evacuation and follow-up at local centres for evacuees and their relatives. These nurses are also available to assist in the context of other incidents that require travel.
